My Biggest "Income Online" Pet Peeve 06/22/2010
What is my biggest pet peeve when visiting sites and blogs that tell how to make money online? Those that promote pay-to-click sites. There is only one way to make any "actual" money with these sites, and that is getting other people to join. To convince them to join, people tell all about the money they've made. They don't mention that the whole $5 they made last month included all the income from their referrals. Well, here's the math. The average pay-to-click site requires you to remain on the site clicked for 30 seconds. Each site pays an average of .01. And that is generous. There are plenty out there that only pay .0075, .005, or even .001. In addition, most sites only have five-ten sites that you can click on each day. So, it will take time to move between different sites. Here's a few scenarios: 30 seconds per site, making .01 per site. I will be very, very generous and say that it it will take no time at all to move between clicks and between actual ptc sites. That 2 cents per minute or 1.20 per hour. Here's a more realistic scenario: .005 per site. We'll assume 30 seconds per site plus another 10 seconds to navigate between clicks. That is .0075 per minute or 45 cents per hour. Worst case scenario: .001 per site. Assume 1 minute per click and to navigate between sites. This will also take into account those clicks that don't credit, time you spend arguing about receiving your payment, etc. You'll make an amazing total of .06 per hour. If you absolutely insist upon trying paid-to-click sites, go join Neobux. Faithfully click everyday for a month. And then tell me it was worth your time. (yes, I tried it. yes, I was paid. no, I'm not posting my referral link. I no longer visit the site. Picking up change in parking lots is more profitable.) For the person who left a comment on mybonusrewards.com- the only online link I can find is to a sign-on page. No overview or explanation of program for new members. Do you have a link to either one of these? I would love to feature the program (if it passes muster, of course!), but need more information. Adgitize has benefits for both those who advertise and those who don't. If you do NOT advertise with Adgitize, here's how it works. You sign up. You place some adgitize ads on your blog (you can divide them into two groups on the page, as I do). You can also complete daily clicks to earn more. The first month I used Adgitize, I did not place ads, and still make about $10.00. For those who want more traffic AND to make a little extra money, here's how it works. You sign up. You place some adgitize ads on your blog. You pay for a month's advertising (there are also other options). You can complete daily clicks and post on your blog to earn more. The last two months I have advertised- the first month I made 12.00 over and above my advertising fee, the second month I made $16.00 over and above the advertising cost. A serious bonus of the Adgitize program is that many of the sites also feature Entrecard. So you can get clicks for both Adgitize and Entrecard at the same time! For those interested: I got a comment from someone saying they barely ever qualified to make money on Quickrewards! I realized that while I recommended the site, I didn't really explain how to make money there! So, here is the second post on Quickrewards. First of all, you don't have to qualify for anything to make money there. As I said in my earlier post, I normally don't do the surveys on the site, which is the only thing you have to "qualify" for. Here's how you make money on the site: On your "home" page, there is going to be a large square box labeled featured offers. You get a .01 just to visit those sites. Just click, and you'll earn. When you're done with the featured offers, scroll down on the page. There will be a "Daily Check List". Click on that and it will run you through every possible way to make money on the site. Here is what I do each day: 1) Click on the "featured offers", which I explained above. 2) Click on the links in the paid e-mails. If you don't want e-mails coming to you, you can view them directly on the site and click on the links there. 3) Complete "daily clicks"...there is usually an average of 30 or so clicks you can do under the daily clicks. Nothing to qualify for. This is where you'll make the bulk of your money. 4) Answer the daily trivia. It's almost always an easy question and you .005 for answering correctly. That's it! Nothing to qualify for, no worries about giving out personal information. Just run through the handy checklist on the screen, and watch the cents add up! And as I said earlier, THERE IS NO MINIMUM CASH-OUT FOR PAYPAL. So, if you want to try it one day and cash out just to make sure it works, you can. (Link below for those who want to try this out). Quickrewards- Payment Proof! 01/07/2010
![]() Quickrewards, as with any site I share, is free to sign up. I've earned over $9.00 in the last two months, and haven't had to try a trial offer or anything like that. If you cash out with paypal, there is NO MINIMUM. I waited until $9.00, but you can cash out two cents if you want. You get paid for reading e-mails (max of three a day, your e-mail box will not get clogged up!), clicking on links, viewing offers, and taking surveys. I don't do most of the surveys, as they are by OTX, which will make you answer 20 pages of questions, and then screen you out. The other surveys on the site are good, though. And they're promising that the surveys in Feb. will be better. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! What are pay to click sites? Pay to click (also called PTC) sites are sites that pay you for clicking on an advertisement and looking at it for a set period of time, usually 30 seconds. Can I make money with this? A small amount. You can NOT make an income off of this, but you can make a few dollars a month. I only recommend the sites as something to do while watching TV or a movie. Spending time you could be working doing these sites is a waste of time. (Sorry, guys, I promised honest reviews!) Aren't most of these sites scams? Well, in a word, yes. There are A FEW that are honest. The "best in the business" is Neobux (see the banner at the bottom of the post). They pay via Paypal and you only need $2.00 in your account to cash out. You also earn .01 per ad. A bunch of the sites only pay .005 or even .001 per click. For the .001 per click sites, you have to click 10 ads just to make a cent! Avoid these sites at all costs. Also avoid any site that requires you to pay to sign up. Are there any other PTC sites that are honest? A few. I'm working my way through the "best recommended" ones and will post the ones that are honest. As I work my way through them, I will also posts the ones that are scams! If you have a PTC site that you want me to check out, feel free to e-mail me: jenniferlandsberger@yahoo.com. Neobux below is the best that I've found. |
